Turkey / Chicken Bake Caution: contains dairy and low starch (approx 22g starch in whole dish – Cronometer) For 2 CSID servings on its own or serve with extra safe veg if required to go further Heat oven to 180C 500g Turkey or Chicken, diced 1 pint milk 2 tablespoons potato flour / cornstarch (or other flour for thickening) 50g Cheddar cheese. 4 stick celery. Salt and pepper to season. 1. Fry the Turkey or chicken in hot oil till lightly browned. 2. Gently heat ¾ pint milk till nearly boiling. 3. Mix the thickener into the remaining milk until dissolved. 4. Add the remaining milk gradually into the hot milk and stir continuously until thickened. 5. Remove from the heat and add the grated cheese. 6. Chop the celery sticks into chunks and put into an ovenproof dish with the meat. 7. Pour the sauce over these and add a little extra grated cheddar or parmesan according to taste. 8. Put in oven for about 20 to 25 minutes till nicely browned and meat is cooked through.
